This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was purchased by the seller in April 2016 and subsequently refurbished with work including a repaint in blue, installation of 350ci V8 crate engine paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission, refreshing the interior, and servicing the braking, suspension, and steering systems. The staggered American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels measure 17″ up front and 18″ out back and wear Nitto NT555 G2 tires sized 245/45 and 275/40, respectively. The brake lines, rotors, pads, trailing arms, power steering rack, shocks, and springs have been replaced under current ownership.
The cabin features replacement black vinyl bucket seats, door trim panels, carpet, floor mats, and a new dash. Interior equipment includes lap belts, a push-button stereo, Bluetooth amplifier, JBL speakers, and an analog clock. The seller states that the vehicle has a battery drain after extended sitting and has installed a battery cut-off switch.
The replacement three-spoke walnut steering wheel with a Corvette center cap frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 2k miles.
The 350ci V8 is said to have been built by Carolina Machine and fitted an Edelbrock 600 Carburetor, GM Performance distributor, and LT1 valve covers. The seller states that the radiator, headers, vacuum hoses, and actuators have been replaced. An engine oil leak is noted.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission.
