The Zagato bodywork was designed by Ercole Spada, and this example was repainted in red during previous ownership. Exterior details include chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, a one-piece plastic headlight surround, and Zagato badging. The seller reports the headlight bezel does not fit correctly and that corrosion was treated where it meets the body.
Painted 14″ steel wheels wear Vredestein Sprint Classic tires showing 2019 date codes. Two of the wheels are said to have been re-welded, and stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners.
The cabin features black vinyl seats along with a matching dashboard, polished center console trim, and Zagato carpeting. Amenities include a Grundig radio, a heater, a storage compartment, and an electrically operated rear boot lid. The seller notes that the seats and dashboard were re-covered in 2019. The courtesy light switch is broken and the carpets are worn.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a 220 km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 34k kilometers (~21k miles).
The replacement 1,750cc inline-four was installed during previous ownership. Service since 2020 reportedly consisted of replacing the choke and throttle cables, the distributor, as well as repairing electrical faults.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Service in 2019 reportedly included a transmission rebuild, installing a lightened flywheel, and replacing the clutch, clutch slave cylinder, and carrier bearing.
