This 2000 BMW M5 has been registered in Michigan since new and was acquired from its original owner in 2010 by the seller, who has since added 75k of its 95k miles. The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over a two-tone Silverstone and black leather interior and powered by a 4.9-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a glass sunroof, 18″ double-spoke wheels, xenon headlights, navigation, a remote CD changer, power-adjustable and heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic (354) with Shadowline window trim and black side moldings. The car is said to have been ordered from the factory with the M5 badge deleted from the rear, and features include xenon headlights with washers, fog lights, a glass sunroof, and quad exhaust outlets.
Double-spoke 18″ wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires that measure 245/40 up front and 275/35 out back.
The interior is upholstered in two-tone Silverstone and Black extended Nappa Point leather with matching door panels and black leather covering the upper dashboard. Amenities include an Alcantara headliner, navigation, a cassette stereo connected to a trunk-mounted CD changer, power-adjustable and heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
The leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel frames an M-branded 185-mph speedometer and a variable-redline tachometer along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 95k miles.
The 4.9-liter S62 V8 features double-VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 394 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The coolant temperature sensor and an oxygen sensor were replaced in 2018, while more recent servicing by Marathon Automotive of Traverse City, Michigan, in June 2021 consisted of replacement of the accessory belts and an oil change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller reports that an ECU code for the catalytic converter recently came up, was cleared, and has not appeared again.
Manufacturer’s literature and service records from current ownership are included in the sale.
