This 1974 Ford Bronco was acquired by the seller in July 2021 following refurbishment and modifications that were performed during previous ownership, with work including a repaint in blue and installation of a 5.0-liter V8. Additional equipment includes a three-speed automatic transmission, a twin-stick transfer case, a roof rack, steel bumpers with front and rear winches, an air compressor, a suspension lift with aftermarket shock absorbers, fender extensions, 15″ alloy wheels with 32″ tires, LED lighting, a camouflage headliner and seat covers, a digital gauge cluster, and more as described below. Recent services include a paint correction, rust repair to the removable hardtop, an alignment, and replacement of the shock absorbers and differential pinion seal.
The seller reports that the body was disassembled and sandblasted before it was repainted in its current shade of blue during previous ownership, and following the seller’s acquisition rust repair was performed on the white removable hardtop and paint correction was performed. Additional exterior features include a roof rack with accessories and auxiliary LED lighting, Hella H4 headlights, an air compressor, fender extensions, steel rock sliders with tubular side steps, dual fuel tanks, and steel bumpers with front and rear winches.
Eagle 15″ aluminum wheels are fitted over manually locking front hubs and mounted with 32×12.5″ Cooper Discoverer STT tires. A spare is mounted to the roof rack, and the suspension has been modified with a 4″ lift kit as well as aftermarket shock absorbers, a steering stabilizer, and adjustable track bar. An alignment was recently performed.
The interior was refurbished during current ownership, which included installing replacement front seats with camouflage seat covers, matching upholstery on the headliner and roll bar, diamond plating on the door panels, and black bed liner along the floors. Amenities include LED lighting, a locking center console with cupholders, a trailer brake module, and a Pioneer stereo. Gauges for the on-board air compressor are housed in the painted metal dashboard.
An aftermarket steering wheel with a Ford-logo horn button frames a combination gauge with a digital speedometer, auxiliary gauges, and a digital odometer that indicates 44k miles.
The 5.0-liter V8 is said to have been sourced from a Police-specification Mustang and was installed during previous ownership, along with a replacement wiring harness and an aluminum radiator. A multi-point inspection was recently performed by Frankenstein Motors Inc. of Marysville, California, and additional work included an oil change and resealing the oil pan.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a twin-stick Atlas transfer case. Dana 44 front and Detroit Locker rear axles have been fitted along with dual-tone air horns. The differential pinion seal was recently replaced.
