This 1983 Ford F-150 XLS is a regular-cab Flareside example which was sold new at Alan Ford in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The air conditioning system was reportedly converted to utilize R134a refrigerant.
The two-spoke steering wheel features cruise control buttons and is mounted to a tilt column. Instrumentation consists of an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and additional gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 62k miles.
The 4.9-liter straight-six features a single-barrel carburetor and produced 115 horsepower and 223 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.
