This 1959 Chevrolet Apache 3100 Carryall Suburban was purchased by the seller in 1989 and subsequently underwent a 13-year refurbishment ending in 2016. The truck is powered by a 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The body is refinished in Green Scotch Poly and Bombay Ivory, and the refurbishment included finishing the chassis in POR15 and replacement of the rockers, floor boards, quarter panels, front fenders, and lower door panels. Replacement door handles, front bezels and lenses, and rubber seals have been installed and the rear bezels were rechromed. Equipment includes a body-colored windshield visor and dual chrome exhaust tips.
Ivory-finished 17″ steel wheels are fitted with 7.50-17 Tornel Traction 10 Ply tires. The truck is equipped with a NAPCO 4×4 conversion, Warn locking front hubs, and manual steering. Stopping power is from four-wheel drum brakes and an aftermarket power brake booster. Replacement shocks, bushings, shackles, and brake lines are said to have been installed.
The cabin features a split-bench seat upholstered in brown vinyl. Interior details include black rubber flooring at the front, bare wood flooring in the rear, and a heater. The seat was refurbished with replacement foam, and a bamboo headliner is installed as well as a replacement wiring harness.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer with inset readouts for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level, and an aftermarket coolant temperature gauge is installed below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer does not work and shows 44k miles.
The replacement 283ci V8 was said to have been sourced from a 1967 truck and refurbished. Features include a two-barrel carburetor and a replacement aluminum radiator. The fuel tank was reportedly refurbished, and replacement fuel lines have been installed.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a NAPCO 133-27 dual-range transfer case. A dual exhaust system is installed.
