This 1956 Chevrolet 150 is a two-door sedan that was modified by its previous owner and acquired by the seller in early 2021. Factory finished in India Ivory (694), the car was repainted its current shade of black during the rebuild, and the seller reports that the weatherstripping, lights, and various trim pieces were also replaced. The inner rear fender wells have been tubbed and the windshield wipers have been removed. Additional features include Bel Air-spec trim, a hood cutout for the air intake, aftermarket window tint, and exhaust pipes that exit ahead of the rear wheels.
Polished 15” American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with 205/70 Firestone Supreme 5i tires up front and 28×12.5” Mickey Thompson Street ET semi-slicks out back. The car rides on QA1 adjustable coilovers and is equipped with Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners.
The cabin features power-adjustable black leather front seats reportedly sourced from a Chevrolet Tahoe. Lap belts are fitted for all occupants, and amenities include a remote controller for the MSD ignition along with a Pioneer AM/FM CD stereo with satellite radio capability wired to a Rockford Fosgate amplifier, a trunk-mounted Audiobahn subwoofer, and speakers in the door panels and rear parcel shelf.
An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a body-color dashboard housing Dakota Digital instrumentation that includes an 8k-rpm tachometer, a speedometer, and auxiliary displays. The digital odometer shows 3k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci GM V8 is equipped with double-hump cylinder heads and topped by dual Holley carburetors with a “bug catcher” air intake. Additional equipment reportedly includes CP flat-top pistons, a Comp camshaft, long-tube headers, Flowmaster mufflers, ARP head studs, MSD ignition, a 16-gallon fuel tank, and an aluminum radiator with electric fans.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission with a dual-friction Centerforce clutch and a differential with 4.10:1 gearing. The seller reports that the reverse gear and transmission seal have been recently replaced.
