This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS coupe is finished in black with a red stripe over a black interior and is powered by an overbored L30 327ci V8 paired with a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission and a ten-bolt Positraction rear end. Equipment includes staggered-width aluminum wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, rear air shocks, traction bars, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Mallory distributor, hideaway headlights, a cowl-induction hood, a decklid spoiler, a Hurst shifter, aftermarket gauges, and a Pioneer radio. The car was acquired by the seller in early 2021, and subsequent work included rebuilding the engine and transmission, replacing the clutch, servicing the brakes, and installing an aftermarket radiator, a high-performance starter, tubular headers, and an increased-capacity oil pan.
Originally ordered in Madeira Maroon (N-N), the car was refinished in black under previous ownership. Features include a red nose stripe, hideaway headlights, a cowl-induction hood, “RS” badging, a decklid spoiler, and chrome-finished trim, side mirrors, and bumpers.
Staggered-width aluminum wheels are mounted with Ohtsu and BFGoodrich tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the suspension features traction bars and rear air shocks with a trunk-mounted electric pump.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Additional interior details include front vent windows, lap belts, a center console, a Hurst shifter, and a Pioneer cassette stereo.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, a dash-mounted AutoMeter tachometer, and additional auxiliary gauges mounted in front of the shifter. The five-digit odometer indicates 4k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The L30 327ci V8 was factory rated to make 275 horsepower, and this example was rebuilt in early 2021 with work that included applying a .040″ overbore, resizing and micropolishing the crankshaft, and replacing the pistons, connecting rods, and cam bearings. An aftermarket radiator, a high-performance starter, tubular headers, and a high-capacity oil pan also were installed, and other features include a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Mallory distributor, and chrome valve covers.
The ML engine code is specific to an L30 327ci V8 fitted with a smog pump and paired with a manual transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission and a ten-bolt Positraction rear end. The transmission is said to have been rebuilt under current ownership.
