This 1968 Ford Bronco was reportedly sold new at Stephens Ford in Reedley, California and was acquired by the seller’s uncle in 1990 before being purchased by the seller in 2020. It is finished in Boxwood Green over a white interior and is powered by a 289ci V8 mated to a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a removable white hardtop, power steering, manually-locking front hubs, steel wheels with polished hubcaps, an Igloo cooler center console, and an aftermarket stereo with Bluetooth. The interior was refreshed during current ownership, and additional work included replacing the wheels and tires, thermostat, starter solenoid, and ignition components.
The truck was finished from the factory in Medium Ivy Green (P) and is fitted with a removable white hardtop. Exterior features include aftermarket rear wheel arch extensions, white vinyl “Ford” lettering on the tailgate, a rear receiver hitch, and chrome trim and bumpers. The seller notes paintwork has been performed some time ago, while the weatherstripping was replaced and the hardtop resealed during current ownership. A hole is noted in the hardtop, and a CB antenna mount has been added above the driver-side rear window.
White 16” steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are mounted with 235/70 BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires. The truck is equipped with power steering and manually-locking front hubs, and a spare is mounted on the inside of the rear tailgate. A replacement steering stabilizer was installed during current ownership, and Bilstein shocks are fitted out back.
The interior was refreshed during current ownership with white vinyl seat upholstery and matching replacement interior panels and black carpeting. Sound-deadening insulation and a replacement headliner have also been added, and additional modifications include a bracket to adjust the driver’s seat, a removable Igloo cooler center console, and a hidden Bluetooth stereo linked with an amplifier, four speakers, and a subwoofer.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames a combination gauge with a 100-mph speedometer and displays for voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 28k miles, approximately 5k of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The 289ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt in the early 2000s and sends power to the rear or all four wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Components replaced since 2020 reportedly include the spark plugs, distributor cap, alternator regulator, battery, valve cover gaskets, air filter, belts, thermostat, and brake master cylinder lines. The seller notes the auxiliary fuel tank and gauge are unreliable.
