This 1983 Porsche 911SC cabriolet was purchased new by the current owner and is finished in red over black. The car is finished in red and was repainted in 2000 by Heritage Collision and Frame of Ypsilanti, Michigan following the completion of bodywork. A Turbo decklid with a “tea tray” rear spoiler has been added, and additional features include a matching soft top with a removable rear window, a black boot cover, US-spec headlights, and a power antenna. The removed decklid is included in the sale.
The 16″ Fuchs wheels have been repainted red to match the body and are mounted with 225/50 Pirelli P7000 Super Sport tires. Stopping power is provided by cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
The interior features manually-adjustable black bucket seats along with matching door panels and Porsche-branded floor mats. The air conditioning system has been converted to use R134a refrigerant, and an aftermarket Alpine stereo has been installed.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and a six-digit mechanical odometer showing 54k miles.
The 3.0-liter flat-six was factory-rated at 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. The auxiliary air regulator was replaced in 2018.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle. The transmission pan gasket and fluid were replaced in August 2021.
