This 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa was modified over the course of eight years with Turbo-style bodywork, spoilers, brakes, and tie rods. The 3.2-liter flat-six was rebuilt and fitted with a turbocharger, Mahle pistons and cylinders, a custom ECU chip, and a custom dual-outlet exhaust system. The car is finished in Guards Red over black leather and is additionally equipped with a 915 five-speed manual transaxle, 19″ Cargraphic wheels, Bilstein shocks, a limited-slip differential, a whale-tail rear spoiler, cruise control, a MOMO steering wheel, an Alpine head unit, an alarm system, and air conditioning.
The car came finished from the factory in Guards Red and features a whale-tail rear spoiler with an ET-style brake light. It was repainted under current ownership following the installation of steel Turbo-style fender flares and rocker panels. A Turbo-style front valance, spoiler, and rear quarter extension were also installed at that time along with replacement seals, rear bumper guards, twin exhaust outlets, and custom front rock guards. The removable Targa top was also rebuilt, the frame refinished, and the seals replaced.
The 19″ three-piece Cargraphic wheels are mounted with Kumho Ecsta SPT tires that show date codes from 2020 and measure 235/35 up front and 275/30 out back. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with Turbo-style front calipers and drilled rotors at each corner. The suspension has been modified with Bilstein HD shocks and Turbo tie rods. Wheel spacers have been added.
The cabin features front seats that are trimmed in black leather with red piping. Amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, an alarm system, cruise control, air conditioning, an Alpine CD stereo, a 400-watt amplifier, a MOMO shift knob, aftermarket floor mats, and power windows. The air conditioning system was refreshed during the build.
The MOMO steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation with silver dials and LED lighting, including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a Quarz clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level.
The 3.2-liter M930/21 flat-six was built under current ownership with a KKK-style turbocharger, Mahle pistons and cylinders, a Turbo wastegate, a custom ECU chip, and a custom dual-outlet stainless steel exhaust system. A larger intercooler and piping were installed in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. The transaxle was rebuilt under current ownership, including replacement of all five synchros and installation of a heavy-duty clutch. Frame supports have been added.
