Selective Ride Control adjustable suspension is fitted, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes that feature Corvette-branded front calipers that are shared with the contemporary Grand Sport. The cockpit is trimmed in Light Gray leather and features headrest embroidery unique to Collector Edition examples. Amenities include automatic climate control, keyless entry, power windows and locks, a Delco Bose Music System with cassette and CD players, and a six-way power driver seat with adjustable lumbar support.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a digital speedometer and fuel level display, an analog tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates 56k miles.
The 1996 model year marked the debut of the 5.7-liter LT4 V8, which was factory rated at 330 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque. The engine was based on the LT1 and featured a revised intake manifold, crankshaft, and camshaft along with an increased compression ratio and high-flow aluminum cylinder heads.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.
