This 2001 Dodge Viper GTS ACR was modified by Apex Motorsports with their Lethal 750 package when new. This 2001 Dodge Viper GTS ACR was modified by Apex Motorsports with their Lethal 750 package when new. Power is from a bored and stroked 9.0-liter V10 paired with a six-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in yellow over a two-tone black and yellow interior. Other modifications include a custom-molded front valance, a Ripper shifter, StopTech brakes, 18″ and 19″ alloy wheels, and a Corsa cat-back exhaust system.
The Viper GTS features a double-bubble roof, and this example is finished in Viper Race Yellow (PYR) with a black-painted rear panel. Exterior features include a vented NACA-duct hood, a polished fuel-filler door, a front tow hook, GTS ACR graphics, and a front bumper with integrated fog lamps, driving lights, and air ducts. Dual exhaust finishers exit through the rear valance.
Gloss-black 18″ and 19″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with 275/35 front and 345/30 rear Toyo Proxes RR tires. Stopping power is provided black StopTech calipers over slotted rotors at all four corners, a $5,895 optional component of the Lethal 750 package.
The cabin features custom black and yellow leather upholstery on the seats and center console along with a matching dashboard, door panels, carpets, and ACR-embroidered floor mats. Stitched leather ACR and Viper logos are affixed to the seatbacks, and other special badging includes a Viper ACR center console plaque and a Lethal 750-branded center console cover. Equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, a Ripper shifter, and an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer. Additional auxiliary gauges are housed in the center stack, and the check engine light is illuminated. The six-digit odometer shows under 19k miles.
The V10 was bored and stroked by Apex Motorsports to displace 9.0 liters and fitted with an Apex hydraulic roller camshaft, custom-forged pistons, billet steel connecting rods, ported and polished Mopar performance cylinder heads, Manley pushrods, and an ECU tune. Output was rated by Apex at 750 horsepower and 800 lb-ft of torque when new. Other installed components include:

Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. An aluminum flywheel, an Apex Kevlar clutch kit, Unitrax half-shafts, a Corsa cat-back exhaust system, and Apex high-flow catalytic converters have also been installed.
The Apex Lethal 750 was featured in Car and Driver’s September 2002 “10,000-HP Shootout.”
